Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel has assured that all parties and stakeholders of the province will be happy with the new name and capital of the province. Pokharel says everyone will illuminate their household in celebrations of the decisions regarding the name and the capital.
Pokhrel’s statement comes after the Provincial Assembly’s failure to fix the name and the capital for the province.
Speaking with journalists in Gulmi district headquarters, Tamghas, on Tuesday, the chief minister said experts were studying details of various places to fix the capital, assuring it would be decided within this year.
He said the provincial government could not expedite development works as it was busy in institutionalising the federal system, and added that the government would mark this year as the foundation year for development.
