Kathmandu, September 1
Private school operators have organized a school bus rally on the Kathmandu Ring Road.
They staged the protest with school buses demanding the removal of the provisions in the School Education Bill that require full scholarships and gradually making schools non-profit.
Private school operators have been exerting pressure to amend the bill passed by the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee.
In this context, PABSON, National PABSON, HISSAN, APEN, and NMA jointly organized the rally around the Kathmandu Valley’s Ring Road.
Yellow buses belonging to private schools lined up in one lane of the Ring Road. Their protest caused disruptions to other vehicles in certain areas.
