Nepal Army’s Tribhuwan Club thrashed Eastern Development reason by nine wickets in the first match of the Prime Minister’s Cup cricket tournament.
Put in to bat first, EDR could only make 103 runs before getting bowled out in the 33rd over. Only three batsmen crossed the 10-run mark for EDR. While EDR’s Mahaboob Alama made 36, Army’s Sagar Pun claimed five wickets with his right-arm off spin.
The army squad chased down the 104-run target with 188 balls to spare. Opener Anil Mandal completed his half century while Sagar Pun made 40.
