L-R: KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Kathmandu, December 21

The chairmen of Nepal’s ruling party Nepal Communist Party (NCP) will respond to questions raised by the standing committee members during Sunday’s meeting, party officials said.

This comes as more than half a dozen standing committee members have criticised the government for failing to deliver on promises and called on the Prime Minister to reshuffle his Cabinet. According to party sources, leaders Ishwar Pokharel, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and seven others expressed their views regarding the report put forward by party chairs KP Oli and Prachanda.

A total of forty-one members of the standing committee have already expressed their views regarding the report. The remaining are to present their views on Saturday. After everyone speaks on the report, the two chairmen to address issues raised by the meeting, on Sunday, says the party.
