Police in Kathmandu says they arrested eight persons on Saturday on the charge of their involvement in multiple robbery cases.

The Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu says they arrested the gang in Balaju on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu. It also included a cadre of the banned Maoist outfit led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ and a runaway soldier of Nepal Army.

It has been learned that Yorsang Ghale was active as a Biplav cadre in his home district in Rasuwa. Likewise, Kushal Adhikari had launched a restaurant and dance bar after running away from the national military organisation.

Other suspects have been identified as Ram Bahadur Tamang, Dharma Raj Tamang, Yuba Raj Bhandari, BIjaya Tamang, Peter Tamang and Rajan Tamang. Police had confiscated two Chinese pistols, two magazines, four rounds of bullets and one kilogram gold from them.

Police made public the suspects during a press meet.

Of late, they were searching for a buyer to sell their gold, which apparently was smuggled from China, suspect police.
