PM vows action against culprits of Dolakha incident

Kathmandu, May 10

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the government will take action against culprits of a violent clash between CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre in Gauri Shankar Rural Municipality of Dolakha district after needful investigation.

A UML cadre was killed during the violent clash last night.

Speaking at a meeting called by the Election Commission today, Dahal said the incident was sad and serious and the government would take it seriously.

He also informed that eight cadres of his own CPN-MC party were arrested in connection with the case.

In another case, Dahal informed that the government had not violated the election code of conduct and needful approval was received from the Commission to do major decisions.

Earlier, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had accused the government of violating the code in order to influence voters.
