Kathmandu, October 30

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ danced to the tunes of Deusi with journalists, who had reached PM’s official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday to play Deusi.

Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Prachanda talked to journalists for a while and when journalist Rishi Dhamala asked him to dance, he obliged.

While interacting with journalists, Prachanda said bitterness between the ruling and opposition parties is on the decline.

Prachanda said: When I was about to be Prime Minister, there were suspicions that bitterness between the ruling parties and opposition parties may only increase. But now, the environment is positive and talks taking place between us are encouraging.

Prachanda further claimed that Constitution amendment will take place pretty soon, creating an enabling environment for elections.

Making the Constitution broadly acceptable and conducting elections are the biggest challenges of this government, he said. Prachanda said the government is working towards this end untiringly.

Conducting local, provincial and federal elections is the only way of safeguarding achievements (of successive movements), Prachanda said, adding that no one should have any confusion about this.
