Parties will reach a deal, be able to end political deadlock soon, says Defence Minister Khand

Dang, January 25

Minister for Defence Bal Krishna Khand said on Wednesday that political parties will soon come to an agreement and be able to end the political deadlock.

He said this while speaking at a face-to-face that Reporters’ Nepal (Dang) had organised in Tulsipur. Khand, also a leader of the ruling Nepali Congress, expressed confidence that political parties will soon agree on Constitution amendment and on conducting local bodies’ elections.

For implementation of the Constitution and for economic prosperity of the country, political parties have no option other than working together, he said, reiterating that parties will soon be able to reach an understanding on ending the deadlock.

Khand said Hill districts should not be removed from Province 5. He said removal of Hill districts from Province 5 will impede the development of Lumbini.
