Parliament to monitor 13th SAG preparations

A parliamentary committee has decided to monitor the government’s preparations for the upcoming South Asian Games.

Nepal is hosting the 13th edition of regional event from December 1 to 12 in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The Education and Health Committee of Parliament on Sunday formed a subpanel under the leadership of Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Jeevan Ram Shrestha, according to the committee chair Jayapuri Gharti.

The subpanel’s members include Gajendra Bahadur Mahat, Nabina Lama, Namita Kumari Chaudhary and Narayan Marasini.

The subcommittee has been asked to prepare a report about the preparations. However, no deadline has been given.
