Kathmandu, August 19

Former crown prince Paras Shah has misbehaved with police at Tribhuvan International Airport. Shah misbehaved with the security personnel while entering the airport.

He pushed the security personnel and left. Shah came back to confront an officer but was stopped by his son Hridayendra Shah.

Shah was at the airport along with his family to see off his mother Komal Shah who was travelling to Bangkok. Along with Shah were his son, sister Prerana and nephew Parthak Singh. According to witnesses, there were other people who came to see off the former queen. They also chanted pro-monarchy slogans which didn’t go down well with police officers.

The Shah family was stopped by security officials from entering the airport as they felt that the former royals were the one chanting pro-monarchy slogans. That is when Shah lost his cool and pushed the police officer.

Police say they found it hard to recognise people as there were a lot of pro-monarchy supporters outside the airport.
