Online platform to support aspiring entrepreneurs launched

Kathmandu, February 28

An online platform established with a goal of supporting aspiring and existing small and medium scale entrepreneurs has been launched in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Bikas Udhyami, an organisation supporting startups, launched Udhyami Nepal [www.udhyaminepal.com] amid a function in Kathmandu today.

The organisation claims that the website in particular tries to address three problems: lack of more and better information and resources for entrepreneurs, lack of information about skill development and job opportunities, and lack of a centralised system where one can assess contact information about unemployed and underemployed skilled graduates.

The website also provides visitors with the information on various aspects of business process including business plan development, rules and regulations, management and financing.

The platform has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Skills Testing Board under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training to train skilled human resources and providing them with opportunities to work.
