Oli says distance between him and Dahal hasn’t widened

Kathmandu, October 27

Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the distance between him and another chairman of his party has not widened. Oli’s statement comes amidst news reports that claimed they had some serious differences of late.

Speaking with journalists at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from Baku of Azerbaijan, Oli took the question about his distance with Dahal lightly and said, “Your question seems funny. Apparently, Baku is quite far from Kathmandu.”

“Otherwise, the distance has not widened,” he said, “Neither is it possible.”

Meanwhile, Oli returned home this morning after attending the 28th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in the Azerbaijani capital last week.
