Kathmandu, December 5
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli got discharged from Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Thursday. He was admitted to the hospital exactly 10 days ago.
Leaving the hospital, Oli told journalists that he was returning home healthy.
When Oli visited the hospital for a checkup on November 26, doctors diagnosed him with appendicitis and carried out an operation on the same day. He also underwent a round of dialysis for his transplanted kidney while in the hospital.
A few hours before the discharge, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had visited Oli in the hospital.
It has been learned that Oli put pressure on the medical team to discharge him as soon as possible although the doctors were preparing to keep him in observation for the next few days.
