Maoist leader Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, who leads a small political group named Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), says two biggest communist parties of the country–KP Sharma Oli-led CPN-UML and Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led CPN-Maoist Centre–stole his party’s name.
Just on Monday, the two parties have signed an agreement to merge the parties into the formation of Communist Party of Nepal.
A leader of Biplav’s party, Mohan Karki, says the big parties’ act was of a fascist nature. “We will continue our struggle against it; we will resist them ideologically and culturally.”
UML Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, however, dismissed the accusation claiming everyone is free to give names to their groups and parties.
