Okhaldhunga, September 12
One person died when nine others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Okhaldhunga district of Province 1 on Sunday morning.
The Tata Sumo SUV (Ba 11 Cha 5210) heading to Kathmandu from Siddhicharan municipality of the district had fallen off the road at Moli, Manebhanjyang rural municipality-6 of the district, killing one on the spot.
The victim has been identified as Prithvi Bahadur Shrestha who appears in his early 40s. Although he is said to be a resident of the Bara district in Province 2, it is yet to be ascertained, informs the District Police Office Chief Govinda Raj Kaphle.
Of nine injured, four are said to be critical and are undergoing treatment at a health facility in Ghurmi of Udayapur, informs Kaphle.
Kaphle and other police personnel have reached the incident site for further investigation.
