4 pilgrims killed in Okhaldhunga road accident

Okhaldhunga, November 15

Four people have died in a road accident in Sunkoshi rural municipality-9 in the Okhaldhunga district of Province 1 on Monday morning.

Three of the victims have been identified as Mithumaya Magar (35), Tulasa Magar (16), and Khagendra Magar. One is yet to be identified.

DSP Govinda Raj Kaphle, the chief of the Okhaldhunga District Police Office, says three died on the spot whereas one breathed last while being taken to a nearby health post.

Other 12 people have sustained injuries. Of them, four are critical, and they have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.

The Bolero SUV (Province 3-01-022 Cha 9694) was carrying pilgrims on their way to Champadevi Kakani from Chyanam to attend a religious event on the occasion of Haribodhini Ekadashi.
