Nepalgunj, June 11

The CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has asked his party cadres not to go against candidates picked by the party for the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.

Addressing a mass meeting of the party in Nepalgunj of Banke district today, Oli said all complaints about the candidate selection would be addressed only after the polls as they could affect the party’s performance in the elections.

Of late, some cadres have expressed dissatisfaction over names picked for various local bodies in Jhapa, Morang and Rupandehi districts.

But, Oli said no name would be reviewed now.

“Now, no any name will be withdrawn. Please make them victorious. Then, everyone of you will be evaluated.”

The leader expressed his confidence that the party would perform well in the polls in Terai regions.

“The polls will answer if people of Madhesh want fights and agitations or peace and development,” he said, “The UML will turn victorious in Madhesh.”
