(Updated) Nepal adds 24 new cases to Covid-19 tally on Monday; new total is 134

Kathmandu, May 11

The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed yet other 13 new cases of coronavirus infection in various districts of Province 5 on Monday evening.

Six cases in each of Kapilvastu and Rupandehi and one case in Bardiya have been confirmed, according to the ministry’s joint spokesperson Sameer Kumar Adhikari.

Tests carried out at the National Public Health Laboratory had confirmed the new cases.

Earlier today, 10 news cases had been confirmed in Kapilvastu besides yet another in Saptari.

(Updated) Nepal’s Covid-19 tally hits 121

Kathmandu, May 11

The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed a new case of coronavirus infection in Saptari district of southeastern Nepal on Monday afternoon.

With this, the number of cases in the country has reached 121.

The ministry’s joint spokesperson Sameer Kumar Adhikari says an 18-year-old boy in Dakneshwari of the district tested positive for the virus in the test held at the lab of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Nepal’s Covid-19 tally hits 120

Kathmandu, May 11

The number of coronavirus positive cases in the country has reached 120 as of Monday morning, informs the Ministry of Health and Population.

The ministry’s joint spokesperson Sameer Kumar Adhikari says the new cases belong to Yashodhara rural municipality and Buddhabhumi municipality of Kapilvastu district of Province 5. All of the newly confirmed patients are male.

Their swab samples were collected and taken to the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu for a PCR test.

They are all in a normal health condition and are in a constant contact with the health workers.
