Nepali short film The School’s Wall reaches Kino Festival finals

Nepali short film The School’s Wall, directed by Mohan Avilashi, has been selected for the finals of the Kino Festival, which will be held in Krestovaya, Russia. Based on child psychology, the film has previously been selected by several other film festivals, including the Edo State International Film Festival (Nigeria), ROSHD International Educational Film Festival (Iran), Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (Nepal), Varsity Film Expo (Zimbabwe), and Lift-Off Global Network Session (UK).

In the film, poverty, circumstances, and responsibility are presented as the wall. It depicts the struggle of a child from the Terai who works as a shoeshiner near a school.

Slok Shah stars as the main character in the film, alongside Suwash Prasad Gajurel, Saroj Lamichhane, Chandra Prasad Pandey, Geeta Thapa, and Aayusha Gautam. The casting director and producer of the film is Surendra Chhetri, and the cinematographer is Narayan GC.
