Kathmandu, May 28
The Bheri Hospital of Nepalgunj has filed an FIR against three persons for their alleged involvement in an attack made against doctors and nurses of the hospital last night.
After a Covid-19 patient from Dang died, the deceased’s relatives had reportedly attacked health workers and vandalised the Covid-19 ward of the hospital last night. A doctor and four nurses had to jump off the first floor of the hospital to save themselves.
Banke Chief District Officer Shiva Ram Gelal says Lok Bahadur Rawat, Man Bahadur Rawat, and Bharat Rawat have been identified as culprits in the FIR.
The hospital administration has also confirmed the filing of the complaint. They have already been arrested this morning.
Meanwhile, the hospital has urged the government to probe into the case and take legal action against everyone involved.
It has requested agitating health workers to stop their protest and return to the job saying steps have already been taken for action against the culprits.
