Nepal Telecom extending its 4G network to 32 districts

Kathmandu, October 2

One of the biggest telecommunications service providers of the country, Nepal Telecom, is extending its 4G network to 32 districts of the country. Currently, the service is available in Kathmandu and Pokhara only.

The company claims it will also announce various exciting packages to the customers. It says the customers will get the data packages at the price which is almost half the current rate. “We will add 100 per cent data volume to various existing offers without changing the price,” the company’s spokesperson Pratibha Baidya says. She informs that 400 MB data will cost Rs 25, and the package will last for 24 hours.

“It is expected that there will be significant reforms in service delivery in various sectors including education, health, social service, and entertainment once the 4G service will be available across the country,” she says.
