Kathmandu, November 6
Nepal on Monday has made the first official comment on Spain’s political crisis over Catalonia independence debate and said it unequivocally supports Spain’s sovereignty.
“Nepal and the Kingdom of Spain enjoy cordial and friendly bilateral relations based on friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding and respect for each other’s aspirations,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, “Nepal unequivocally respects and supports the sovereignty, national unity and territorial integrity of Spain and firmly opposes any attempt to the secession of the country.”
It has also maintained that domestic issues should be settled within the constitutional framework of the country.
