Kathmandu, May 17
Less than 24 hours before it confirmed the first death incident related to the Covid-19, the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal has said the second fatal case has also been reported.
A 25-year-old man quarantined in Banke of Province 5 died at 6:40 am today, informs the ministry’s spokesperson Bikas Devkota.
He had come to Nepal from India amidst the lockdown on Tuesday last week. He was quarantined at Dipendra Secondary School in Narainapur of the district. After he reported respiratory problems, his swab samples had been collected for a coronavirus test.
But, before the test result came, he breathed his last in the morning. Lab officials confirmed the infection in him only in the afternoon.
