Nepal recalls ambassador to Qatar

Kathmandu, April 25

The government of  Nepal has decided to call backs its ambassador to Qatar,Ramesh Prasad Koirala.

A recent Cabinet meeting made the decision, the government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota shared among journalists at his weekly press briefing on Thursday.

Koirala was appointed the ambassador by Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government around two years ago. Baskota said he was recalled ‘owing to the need.’

Meanwhile, the government decided to allocate Rs 846.88 million to the Nepal Army to rebuild 1,453 houses for the families affected by a storm in Bara and Parsa districts of southern Nepal last month.

Minister Baskota assured that the reconstruction of the houses would be over by the upcoming monsoon.
