Nepal, Qatar sign deal to facilitate visa-free travel for special passport holders

Doha, October 30

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is on a four-day official visit of Qatar, and the host country’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held an official meeting in Doha on Tuesday.

During the meeting, matters related to the strengthening of bilateral diplomatic relations and mutual cooperation were discussed, state-owned news agency, RSS reported.   The Amir also hosted a luncheon in honour of President Bhandari.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s foreign minister Pradeep Gyawali and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohmmad Abdul Rahman Al Thani signed an agreement to allow visa-free travel for holders of special passports. Similarly, an agreement has also been sighned on cooperation in the area of food security and agriculture.
