Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid tributes to Nepali security guards, who died in a terrorist attack in Kabul on Monday. Five of the nine people injured in the attack were Nepalis.

In a message, Prime Minister Oli said the incident has left him in shock.

Through Twitter, he said: Today’s suicide attack in Afghanistan, which killed 14 Nepalis, has shocked me. I pay my tributes to them.

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior said earlier that 14 Nepali security guards died in the attack. They came under attack while a bus was taking them to their work station, the Canadian Embassy in Kabul. They were working for British security company Sabre.
