Nepal drops in rankings after defeat to Kuwait; Dipendra falls to third

Kathmandu, April 17

Nepal’s national cricket team has slipped one position to 18th in the ICC T20I rankings following a narrow 3-run defeat to lower-ranked Kuwait in the final of a four-nation T20I series held in Hong Kong.

All-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has also dropped from second to third in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, now tied at 209 points with England’s Liam Livingstone. Australia’s Marcus Stoinis has moved up to second, while India’s Hardik Pandya remains on top with 252 points.

Dipendra’s rating fell from 233 to 209 after a lackluster performance in the tournament. He did not bat against Qatar and went wicketless in four overs. Against Kuwait, he scored 31 off 12 balls but failed to make an impact in the final, getting out for a duck and taking no wickets in his over.
