Nepal defeat Kenya by six wickets in UAE practice match

Nepal’s national cricket team on Sunday made a victory of six wickets over Kenya during their practice match for two games with the United Arab Emirates under the ICC World Cricket League Championship.

During the match, Nepal in the first innings had won the toss and elected to field.

Kenya consequently batted, but were all-out in 32.2 overs. They posted a 111-run target to Nepal.

Nepal achieved the target in 19.5 overs at the loss of four wickets though five key players including captain Paras Khadka, his deputy Gyanendra Malla, Basanta Regmi, Binod Bhandari and Sompal Kami had not played today.

Earlier, Nepal were defeated by the United States by five wickets in the first match.

Nepal will play two matches with the hosts on December 6 and 8.

As Nepal have already been relegated from the Championship, the matches with be just a prestige issue for Nepal.
