Nepal Covid-19 tally: 5,706 PCR and 57 antigen new cases in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 1

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 328,893 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 5,706 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 14,403 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 488,359 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 566 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 57 were found infected.

As of today, 43,213 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 1,287 people have achieved recovery whereas 19 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 282,382 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,298 died, according to the ministry.

Nearly 70 are quarantined across the country.
