Nepal Covid-19 tally: 8,970 PCR and 100 antigen cases added in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 6

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 368,580 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry says 8,970 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 20,367 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 578,418 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 775 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 100 were found infected.

As of today, 72,561 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 2,707 people have achieved recovery whereas 54 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 292,490 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,529 died, according to the ministry.

Over 310 are quarantined across the country.
