Nepal Covid-19 tally: 8,467 cases added in 24 hours; death toll up by 203

Kathmandu, May 14

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 439,658 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 8,467 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 20,948 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 733,510 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 107,336 cases are active. Of them, 8,469 are hospitalised, 1,334 in intensive care units and 371 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 6,135 people have achieved recovery whereas 203 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate has fallen back to 74.5 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 327,653 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 4,669 died, according to the ministry.

Over 500 are quarantined across the country.
