Nepal Covid-19 tally: 8,287 PCR and 131 antigen cases added in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 8

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 385,890 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 8,287 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 17,315 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 615,720 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 989 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 131 were found infected.

As of today, 83,493 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 3,370 people have achieved recovery whereas 53 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 298,765 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,632 died, according to the ministry.

Over 350 are quarantined across the country.
