Nepal Covid-19 tally: 7,316 PCR cases added in 24 hours; death toll up by 145

Kathmandu, May 16

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 455,020 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 7,316 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 19,539 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 771,020 people have been tested in the country.

In the past 24 hours, 6,648 people have achieved recovery whereas 145 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 74.6 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 339,756 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 5,001 died, according to the ministry.

Over 650 are quarantined across the country.
