Nepal Covid-19 tally: 7 new cases, 25 recoveries, 0 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, April 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,118,692 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry said seven new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 2,819 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned seven returned positive. Likewise, 1,849 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional zero tested positive.

Of total tests, 0.24 per cent of the PCR and 0 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 0.14 per cent.

As of today, there are 747 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 25 people have achieved recovery whereas the government says there were zero deaths recorded today.

Of the total cases so far, 965,847 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,951 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 98.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, 50,093 people were vaccinated today.
