Nepal Covid-19 tally: 5,085 PCR and 800 antigen cases detected in 24 hours, death toll up by 68

Kathmandu, June 1

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 566,587 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry says 5,285 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 17,147 swab samples were tested. So far, 3 million and 74,571 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, 3,018 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 800 tested positive.

As of today, there are 104,789 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 6,898 people have achieved recovery whereas 68 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 80.2 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 454,344 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 7,454 died, according to the ministry.

Over 700 are quarantined across the country.
