Nepal Covid-19 tally: 418 new cases, total stands at 20,750

Kathmandu, August 3

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 20,750 as of Monday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 418 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 7,637 swab samples were tested. So far, over 398,000 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 14,961 people have achieved recovery whereas 57 died, according to him.  The country’s current recovery date is 72.1 per cent.

The other 10,000 people have been quarantined in different parts of the country waiting to be tested.

The other 5,732 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Rautahat, Mahottari and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Mustang, and Manang do not have any active case.
