Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,651 new cases, 1,784 recoveries, 22 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 787,006 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry said 3,651 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,455 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 2,609 returned positive. Likewise, 6,149 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,042 tested positive.

Of total tests, 24.95 per cent of the PCR and 16.94 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 22 per cent.

As of today, there are 36,288 active cases across the country. Of them, 3,381 are hospitalised, 741 in intensive care units and 186 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 1,784 people have achieved recovery whereas 22 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 671,083 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 10,115 died, according to the ministry. Likewise, 2,606,046 people have received their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine while 4,525,435 have received their first dose. Today, 145,030 people were vaccinated throughout the country.
