Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,753 new cases, 2,206 recoveries, 17 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 191,636 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,753 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1,512 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 10,423 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 527,766 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 35,435 cases are active currently. Among them, 28,920 are in home isolation.

Likewise, 365 are in intensive care units and 76 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 155,114 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,087 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 2,206 people have been discharged whereas 17 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 81 per cent.

Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Manang and Bajura do not have any active case.

Over 1,100 people are quarantined across the country.
