Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,736 new cases, 853 recoveries, 22 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 10

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 199,760 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,736 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1,420 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 12,960 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 564,214 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 38,035 cases are active currently. Among them, 29,734 are in home isolation and 8,301 hospitalised.

Likewise, 404 are in intensive care units and 96 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 160,577 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,148 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 853 people have been discharged whereas 22 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 80 per cent.

Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, Rupandehi, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Manang does not have any active case.

Over 1,000 people are quarantined across the country.
