Nepal Covid-19 tally: 255 new cases, 256 recoveries, 2 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 30

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 916,864 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry said 255 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 4,329 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 245 returned positive. Likewise, 2,140 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 10 tested positive.

Of total tests, 5.65 per cent of the PCR and 0.46 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.94 per cent.

As of today, there are 6,931 active cases across the country. Of them, 432 are hospitalised, 116 in intensive care units and 33 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 256 people have achieved recovery whereas two deaths were been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 802,909 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,526 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 211,553 people were vaccinated today.
