Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,913 new cases, 2,349 recoveries, 15 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 12

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 204,242 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,913 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 973 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 10,022 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 584,317 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 38,461 cases are active currently. Among them, 29,384 are in home isolation and 9,077 hospitalised.

Likewise, 373 are in intensive care units and 87 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 164,592 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,189 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 2,349 people have been discharged whereas 15 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 80.6 per cent.

Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, Rupandehi, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Manang does not have any active case.

Over 900 people are quarantined across the country.
