Nepal Covid-19 tally: 105 new cases, 272 recoveries, 2 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, February 5

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 271,707 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 105 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. Out of these, 58 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu Valley.

In this period, 2,799 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 88,372 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 2,108 cases are active.

Of the total cases so far, 267,564 people have achieved recovery whereas 2,035 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 272 people have been discharged whereas two deaths have been reported. 

The recovery rate as of Friday is 98.5.

Nearly 100 people are quarantined across the country.
