Financial aid worth Rs 24.04 million distributed in the last month of the fiscal year

Kathmandu, August 3

The government distributed financial aid worth Rs 24.04 million in the last month of fiscal year 2022/23.

According to the Finance Ministry, this includes the Rs 5.5 million used during the treatment of President Ram Chandra Paudel.

Paudel had been taken to New Delhi of India via an air ambulance for treatment of a chest infection in April. His secretariat said Paudel wanted to cover all the expenses incurred during his medical treatment on his own.

The government also handed over Rs 1 million to the family of Bed Prasad Pandey who went missing during the armed conflict.

The government has also given Rs 1 million to the family of Padam Bahadur Limbu, who died in Biratnagar while protesting the name of Province 1 Koshi province.

The government has also distributed aid amounting to Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000 in the name of various other people in the last month of the fiscal year.
