The government of Nepal has decided to ban TikTok.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma informed that Monday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to ban Tiktok in Nepal.

She said the government has banned TikTok for disrupting social harmony in the country.

According to Minister Sharma, the decision to ban TikTok will be implemented immediately.

“It might take some time to fully ban it, but the decision to ban TikTok has been taken. We are looking at how we can implement that effectively,” said Sharma.

Many countries in the world have partially or completely banned TikTok including India, Canada, Australia, and France among others.
