Police have arrested a 21-year-old engineering student on the charge of hacking the Nepal Army website.

The arrestee is Sagar Dhakal, a resident of Waling municipality-21 in the Syangja district, currently doing a bachelor’s in engineering at the Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering’s Pashchimanchal Campus, Pokhara.

SSP Nabinda Aryal, the chief of the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau, says Dhakal was arrested following an investigation triggered by the national military organisation reporting its cyberspace was accessed without authorisation.
