The Nepal Army is preparing to send a widebody aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation to Guangzhou of China to fetch around 18 tonnes of medical supplies that the government bought via the Nepal Army for the country’s Covid-19 response.
Nepal Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey says the aircraft will come back to Kathmandu Tuesday. The consignment will include test kits, personal protective equipment sets, N95 masks, and gloves, among others.
Just on Saturday, the army imported similar goods weighing nine tonnes in total via a land route.
