Kathmandu, August 30
The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has decided to immediately deposit Rs 2.5 million into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for citizens affected by the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
The party has said that, in addition to the cash contribution, it has also decided to send necessary relief materials to the affected districts for the local population.
Party spokesperson Prakash Jwala said the decision to provide cash and relief materials was made with the aim of supporting immediate relief and rehabilitation for the affected citizens.
The party stated that, in this time of crisis, cooperation from all sides is needed to protect people’s lives and make relief distribution effective.
