Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ and Mohan Baidhya ‘Kiran’ could not avert the split of their Maoist parties and subsequent merger with the UCPN-Maoist.

A day after the birth of the CPN-Maoist Centre, the result of the murder of 10 Maoist factions with the Prachanda-led UCPN-Maoist, Biplav and Kiran, chair of the CPN-Revolutionary Maoist and Hemanta Prakash Oli, coordinator of the Communist Nucleus Nepal, will be addressing a public gathering that Biplav’s Maoist party is organising, at Open Theatre, Kathmandu.

In a joint press release, Biplav, Kiran and Oli have described the unification of Maoist forces as an example of opportunism. They have said they will wage an ideological struggle against the CPN-Maoist Centre, describing it as an alliance of rightists.
