Four people have gone missing after a flood from Ungilung Khola in Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6, Gorkha, surged into the Budhi Gandaki River.
According to the National News Agency (RSS), the flood swept away four cattle sheds along the banks of Ungilung Khola, along with 15 yaks and nak (female yaks). The four missing people had been staying at the sheds to look after the animals.
The flood also swept away the Machhikhola bridge connecting the area to Dharche Rural Municipality and caused damage in Machhikhola Bazaar, said Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma.
A bridge connecting Soti and Manbu in Aarughat Rural Municipality was also swept away, he added.
