Kathmandu, March 25
A man has allegedly killed his wife in Chunikhel, Budhanilakantha municipality-13 of the Kathmandu district, on Thursday midnight.
Police say Bhakta Bahadur Thapa (21), a resident of Udayapur, currently residing in Chunikhel, murdered his wife Laxmi Tamang (24), using a sharp weapon.
“The incident occurred during a minor dispute at around 11:45 pm yesterday,” SP Dinesh Raj Mainali, the spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Circle, in Teku, says, “But, the doctors declared him dead.”
The suspect had fled the scene but was arrested later.
Police say further investigation is underway.
